Community-sourced · verified for 4.10.0 · 1 source · medium confidence
Mining Quantainium asteroids within Band 5 of the Aaron Halo asteroid belt using a MOLE or Prospector, followed by processing at CRU-L1 Ambitious Dream Station. The high density of asteroids in deep space offers isolated, safe extraction with predictable signatures and consistent yields.
Information
- Crew
- 1-5
- Ships
- MOLE, Prospector
- Systems
- stanton
- Locations
- Aaron Halo, CRU-L1 Ambitious Dream Station, ARC-L3
Steps
- Depart CRU-L1 Ambitious Dream Station, initiate quantum travel toward ARC-L3, and drop out of quantum drive when the distance to ARC-L3 reaches approximately 11.9 Gm to enter Aaron Halo Band 5.
- Send radar pings and switch to scanner mode to inspect asteroid clusters, identifying Quantainium rocks by scanning for RS signatures of 3,170 or exact multiples thereof.
- EVA to attach a Sabir mining gadget to high-mass or high-resistance asteroids, configuring the sliders above 90% calibration to expand the optimal charge window and reduce resistance.
- Fracture the rock using a Helix II laser paired with Deluge, Rieger-C3, or Overrun modules, incrementally raising laser power to prevent volatile spikes in the overcharge meter.
- Switch to extraction mode to vacuum up all fractured chunks containing Quantainium, filling the ore pods before the 25-minute degradation timer expires.
- Quantum travel directly back to CRU-L1 Ambitious Dream Station and place refinery work orders using Dinyx Solventation or Ferron Exchange for maximum ore yield.
Risks
- Quantainium volatility will detonate the ship cargo hold if not delivered to a refinery within 25 minutes of extraction.
- High rock instability can cause sudden overcharge surges during fracturing, damaging ship shields and destroying ore.
Required Capabilities
